Who Am I?

Directions:
At your table you will research the portrait that we created as a class. Your table consists of at least 5 people, you will assign occupancies to the people at your table: detectives, secretary, and reporter.

2-3 Detectives- responsible for using technology to research and find answers about the unknown person in the class portrait
2-3 Secretaries- responsible for documenting all findings (needs to be typed with ALL group members names)
​2 Creators- responsible for artistic flair/creativity

2 Reporters- responsible for sharing the finding with the class

**All of you will assist with research no matter what your occupancy is**

Together at your table, you must find out the following information:
1. Who is this person?
​2. What artist created this image?
3. Where is the artist from?
4. Is the artist alive today?
5. Are they a famous artist? What are they famous for?
6. What style of artwork does he create?
7. What kind of art materials does he use to create art?
8. What is photorealism? How does this artist use photorealism?
9. What is hyperrealism? How does this artist use hyperrealism?
10. What is color theory? How does this artist use color theory?
11. How has this artist impacted art history?
12. What is your opinion of their artwork?
13. Would you want them to draw you? Why or why not?
14. Do you have a favorite artwork that this artist created?
15. Did you find out anything interesting that surprised you?

Presentation Requirements

Poster

  • must be creative and decorated
  • must include photos and text
  • must answer all the above questions
  • show photo/drawing examples to back up your evidence

Video

  • must be creative
  • must include at least 3 group members on camera
  • present the poster as if in front of class
