Mixing Colors with Paint

Directions:
Today you will use paint to fill in a color-wheel. The only colors you will be able to use are the primary colors: Red, Blue, Yellow. Please follow the step by step directions in order to get accurate results.

Steps:
1. Get a color wheel worksheet from the front table. Using only primary colors: Red, Blue, Yellow paint the appropriate areas on the color wheel.

2. Once the primary colors are on the color wheel, You will MIX THEM ON THE WORKSHEET to create the secondary colors: Orange, Green, Purple.

3. Next, you will mix the tertiary/intermediate colors. MIX THESE ON YOUR COLOR WHEEL WORKSHEET. The tertiary/intermediate colors are:
Yellow-Green
Yellow-Orange
Blue-Violet
Blue-Green
Red- Violet
Red-Orange

4. Label the color wheel with the appropriate vocabulary: 
Primary
Secondary
Tertiary/Intermediate
